As the founder of Silver Peak, Bill is responsible for investment origination, transaction execution and portfolio management and strategic growth initiatives within the portfolio companies. Since 1994 Bill has gained significant experience in lower middle-market buyout and corporate mergers and acquisitions. Bill has transactional and board level experience in a wide array of industry sectors, including aerospace and defense, environmental, niche precision manufacturing, transportation, medical and dental equipment, industrial recycling equipment, mining, construction, and value added distribution. Mr. Haan has served on the board of more than 20 private companies. Prior to his private equity experience at firms in Denver, Colorado and Minneapolis, Minnesota Bill worked for Northwest Airlines and Cargill, Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy and a Master in Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School. Before attending graduate school, Bill was a Captain in the United States Air Force where he served in the United States, Europe, and Middle East as an F-111 fighter pilot.
As a Partner of Silver Peak, Bryan is responsible for transaction origination and portfolio management, and leading investments in portfolio companies as well as leading the development of Silver Peak’s investment theme process. Bryan has approximately 18 years of private equity and investment banking experience, having completed over 40 merger and acquisition and financing transactions totaling over $15 billion in value across a variety of industries. Previously, Bryan was a Senior Vice President in Lehman Brothers' Global M&A Group. He was also an investment banker with Credit Suisse and Dain Bosworth. Bryan has a Master of Business Administration degree from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wyoming. He has served on the board of directors of four companies.
As a Partner at Silver Peak, Lennie’s primary responsibilities lie in assisting portfolio companies scale their operations. In this capacity Lennie brings a unique ability to help companies solve deep systemic problems by bridging the worlds of operations and technology. He lives by the mantra that “technology is an accelerator. It makes good process great and bad process a disaster.” He helps portfolio companies architect and implement software and data platforms that provide management teams important insights into their business so they can spend more time working on their business as opposed to solely in their business. Prior to joining Silver Peak Lennie served as an executive in two healthcare companies then ran a process, software and data consulting practice. He has played a key role in successfully leading turn arounds within multiple organizations. Lennie holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Westminster College. He also earned an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies and Bachelor of Arts in Chinese from the University of Utah. He and his wife Rose reside in Utah with their 6 children.
